Latest Projects' Activities


SWAT school project

A project of support in the rehabilitation of the girl’s education in the war hit areas of District Swat is being executed with the support of Hoshyar Foundation America. The educational infrastructure especially the girl’s education was disrupted during the armed conflict in Swat. Friends Pakistan contributed in the rehabilitation of the educational system in Swat by supporting in term of provision of alternative buildings and requisite educational supplies at these schools. All the support activities were furnished on the needs and demands of the District Education Department Swat.


SRC and Teachers/PTC Trainings

Friends Pakistan believes that along with the provision of safe and secure physical environment at the schools, the role of teachers, PTC members and the students is also very important to ensure the learning friendly environment at the schools. Hence, the training of teachers, PTC members and Students Representative Councils (SRC) is an important component of the school construction project. In this regard, two trainings of SRCs and one training of teachers/PTC members have been conducted for the teachers and PTC members of its target four schools in District Mansehra.


Initiation of High School Classes at GGMS Mandagucha and Jabbergali

In the month of April, 2010, Friends Pakistan has achieved a new land mark by supporting the high schools classes at CMGMS School Jabbergali and GGMS School Mandagucha, UC Jabber-Devli by extending the scope of the project, protection and educational assistance for the girls of the rural areas. The provision of shelter along with furniture and other requisite educational supplies were transported to these school’s sites. Regular classes have commenced with the collaboration of Education Department Mansehra after the formal inauguration of high school classes.


Shelter Construction at Jabergali and Mundagucha

Friends Pakistan has been contributing in the Protection and Educational Assistance for the girls of the rural areas where there is no availability of any institution at the secondary level. For ensuring the continuation of girl’s education in a safe environment, the construction of semi permanent shelters has been completed at the CMGMS School Jabbergali and GGMS School Mandagucha. The work of construction of these shelters was completed on June 25, 2010. The local communities of both areas contributed amply by sharing unskilled labor and wood for these shelters.


Staff Training

Friends Pakistan has been implementing a project of Educational Assistance and Self reliance Support for the children of Earthquake affected areas of District Mansehra with the support of KnK Japan. Under the scope of this project, the development of the capacities of teachers of all New Hope Academies (Project’s Schools) was an important component. With the conduct of six (6) trainings events, the teachers of all schools were trained to acquire the effective practices of modern Pedagogy and creating Learning Friendly Environment at the school level.
